Royal White Dorper Sheep
We raise Royal White Dorper sheep in central Texas, offering hardy, healthy animals known for high-quality meat produced from a 100% grass-fed diet. Our flock is rotationally grazed daily, ensuring they always have access to fresh pasture and never regrazed areas until fully recovered. This practice keeps our sheep healthy and parasite-free while producing superior meat.
Our sheep have been carefully selected for superior genetics from the flock for over 20 years. Grazed in the harsh climate in West Texas with limited forage and scarce water, only the strongest and hardiest survived. Resulting in a hardy disease-resistant flock that will never say die.
Now on our farm in Central Texas, grazing on greener pastures, we ensure our sheep are treated well and raised in a stress-free environment. We still carefully cull the flock based on who needs the least amount of assistance and which sheep performs the best. We aim to raise ewes who have excellent mothering instincts and have vigorous lambs that thrive on pasture alone.
We like our well-tempered sheep that are easy to handle but also have plenty of instincts and will survive. Our rams are large and rather intimidating, producing muscular lambs that gain weight fast on grass and brush alone.
We keep good records of all our ewes, rams, and lambs. Knowing who is related to whom makes it simple to keep new stock without inbreeding. Each of our sheep probably bears the Files Family Farm ear tag, making it easy for us to keep track of every sheep on the farm.
We supply a superior-tasting lamb meat to our customers that has good flavor and is healthy for you. Fattened on pasture alone, our lamb meat has a unique taste that is like no other grain-fed lamb. Different from most lamb, our lamb has NO gamey aftertaste, delivering such rich flavor without the bad aftertaste, which is something that is rare to find in lamb meat.
We also provide breeders with replacement stock to improve their own flocks. We offer 4-month-old ewe lambs every year that are just weaned and will be ready to have their own lambs at just 8 months old. If provided the right nutrition and minerals, they will mature into large, healthy ewes capable of raising large, healthy lambs.
We don’t give our sheep any grain, dewormer, vaccines, hormones, or any other additives or medication.

Our lamb meat is sold every year in April, so close to Easter our lamb will sell very quickly so getting your lamb meat saved for you and your family ahead of time is the best way to ensure that you will be getting the lamb you need this year. The lambs we butcher are our largest highest quality lambs that have large carcasses with sizeable amounts of delicious meat on them. Each lamb will be butchered according to your desire and then each cut of meat individually packed making it easy to prepare.

We are selling our 4-month-old Royal White Dorper ewe lambs this year. These lambs are from our flock of hardy sheep and, like their mothers, will have strong mothering instincts. Bred to easily raise healthy lambs unaided on pasture, this will be great genetics to add to your flock.
